In addition to my university teaching, I taught annually in area prisons for about 20 years. There was a time when I planned to retire and attend seminary to continue my prison work. This 6 minute video about a project designing spaces for re-entering citizens can live was very inspiring to me. One of my former students has been incarcerated for over 40 rears, and it’s possible that he’ll be released sometime soon. I wish he’d have such a place to land.
