Back in 2019. one of the last plays I directed was Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods. This is a photo of the floorplan (it was a theater in the round) and the flags each are a character. I’d go through the text planning each move so that we could get the show rehearsed efficiently (it’s a long musical). I’d move each flog, and type each move into the scanned script, so that the actors didn’t have to take the time during rehearsal to write each move into their scripts. Yes, I am not like other people.
