I’ve written a few new things on my theater-oriented Substack. One is on Sara Farrington’s inspiring book The Lost Conversation, in which she interviews many of the leaders and participants in the experimental theater and dance scene of the 1970s and 1980s (e.g., Joanne Akalaitis, Kate Valk, Robert Wilson, and many others). It’s called, cleverly, “Sara Farrington’s ‘The Lost Conversation.'”
Today, I wrote about designer and theater visionary Robert Edmond Jones’s 1941 classic The Dramatic Imagination, which I called (you guessed it) “Robert Edmond Jones’s ‘The Dramatic Imagination.'” I tell ya, I got a million of ‘em.
