In January, my a1c spiked, and my doctor diagnosed me as diabetic and prescribed Metformin. I tried it, and it was working, but my stomach couldn’t take it. I then negotiated a two-month attempt to get my a1c level down to an acceptable level using diet and exercise. After two months, I’d gotten it down 15%, but did not reach the goal. So yesterday I started Ozempic.

So far, so good, but they aren’t kidding when they say that the medicine reduces your desire to eat. I’m going to have to reduce my food intake – either smaller meals, or skip a meal. Still, my mind feels sharper already, and my energy level is better. Hope springs eternal.
